culture in ancient times. The tip and one
ear have slight filler restoration. In spite
of the later culture's alteration of this
beauty, it still maintains it's original fluting Rogers COA

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA36 A very nicely made light gray colored quartzite Recovered in 495.00

"Plainview" (according to Dwain Rogers) With

El Paso Co., TX
the exception of a flea-bite to the tip, this one is
all there. It has very nice paleo side and basal
grinding, and one pressure flaked flute and
hafting stop on side A. Side B has pressure
thinning to simulate a flute. "Our opinion" is that
this one more closely resembles a Paleo
Redstone point, than a Plainview. Made from a
most difficult to work material Rogers COA

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA34 A very dark gray chert Meserve showing Unknown 95.00

slight signs of right handed beveling.

Edges and base are nicely ground, and
the flaking is quite respectable, as this  11/18
appears to be a difficult material to flake. Rogers COA ON-HOLD

LSPA40 At first glance, this one appears to be of the Found in 195.00

"Plain Jane" variety, but it's not... A very

Hudspeth Co., TX
nicely mottled gray Rancheria chert Clovis
having attractive wavy banding. It has nice
edge and basal grinding, and I believe that
it was anciently re-based from the original,
which was most likely twice as long.

LSPA48 A very thin and very attractive light gray Recovered in 125.00

point having nice edge grinding which  County, TX
extends all the way to where the tip begins.
This one has clear epoxy surface filler
restoration which shows in the photos as
a "greenish hue" on both  faces above the
centerline and near the tip as well as to a
small section of the opposing edge. The
very tip to one stem (the stem on the right
in the first photo) is also restored. Still a
rare and desirable point !

semi-translucent chert Folsom body section and an

sites in and around
equally attractive Midland upper body section. Both   El Paso Co., Texas
very well flaked with nice micro-micro edgework all
the way around. Both are paper thin. The Folsom is
fluted on both faces, while the Midland shows nice
Paleo transverse flaking patterns.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA63 Two interesting rootbeer brown chert Folsom Recovered from Paleo 125.00

halves, which met with the same fate, namely

sites in and around
a lateral fracture which split the dart points El Paso Co., Texas
right down the centerline. Both are only fluted
on one face, with the larger of the two
showing very fine pressure flaking patterns on
side B. The smaller piece simply has "thinning"
pressure flaking patterns on side B.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA64 A quite colorful pink and blue chert  Recovered from Paleo 125.00

unfluted Folsom base minus the tip. Has

sites in and around
"some" effort at micro pressure flaking El Paso Co., Texas
around all edges. I would call this one
worthy of professional restoration.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA12 A most interesting tan-gray single-fluted Central Texas 595.00

chert Folsom point having intricate flaking

patterns to side B. This was made from
another broken relic and retains 60% of the
original relics' break point on one edge Rogers COA

Folsom dart point. Quite thin and well-made

Chihuahua, MX
from a difficult to work material. Has a diagonal
break at the centerline and has been glued back
together. Looks like an "Oh, Chit" break to me
(where a collector dropped it) as opposed to a
"Praise the Lord" break (where it was anciently
broken, and you found both halves) The break is
clean and although I examined this piece 3 times
before photographing it, I didn't notice the break
until I looked at the photos (A higher resolution
photograph is available upon request) Perino COA

LSPA26 A most interesting light gray colored Recovered in 650.00

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA27 A mottled off-white and light gray chert From a site within 125.00

Folsom dart point which sustained a

100 miles of
serious lateral impact fracture which El Paso, TX
shaved off one edge. The remaining edge
is almost completely intact from the base
to just below the tip, which also was a
casualty of the impact. It has a single flute
on each face and pretty descent secondary
flaking along the remaining edge

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA65 A somewhat banged-up and anciently Recovered from Paleo 225.00

resharpened rootbeer chert Folsom which

sites in and around
was double fluted with nice basal thinning El Paso Co., Texas
flakes and a good amount of micro edge
flaking. From the appearances of the flute
on side B, this was, at one time, a much
longer projectile point. An interesting and
certainly well-used artifact.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA66 A nice couple of mottled blue, gray  Recovered from Paleo 150.00

and tan chert Paleo partials. The larger

sites in and around
of the two resembles a Midland and El Paso Co., Texas
shows nice traverse flaking with a
weak attempt at micro edgework.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA67 A gorgeous pair of very thin Paleo Folsom   Recovered from Paleo 150.00

partials made from a cream colored chert.

sites in and around
The larger of the two is actually a base which El Paso Co., Texas
has been recycled a few times. The last
recycle job took away the tangs and replaced
them with micro-edgework to the base. It has
the remnants of one flute and very nice micro
edgework all the way around. The smaller of
the two is a double-fluted Folsom tip having 10/11 Jan.
nice micro edgework all the way around. ON-HOLD

LSPA69 Three very thin light gray chert Paleo   Recovered from Paleo 175.00

partials. The tip is a double fluted Folsom

sites in and around
with superior micro-edgework, the lighter El Paso Co., Texas
base is also from a double fluted Folsom
and also has nice and detailed micro
edgework. The third piece is the base of
a Midland dart point.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA71 A nice set of 3 light blue-gray chert Paleo Recovered from Paleo 150.00

bases. The two larger one's are Midland

sites in and around
bases showing nice transverse flaking El Paso Co., Texas
patterns while the smallest base is from a
double fluted Folsom. Evidently the maker
of the Folsom was new to the fluting
process, as side A has two shallow
"pressure" flutes, while side B has a flimsy
attempt at 1. It also lacks the fine micro
edgework which the master knappers used.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA72 A nice set of 3 pink chert Paleo Recovered from Paleo 150.00

bases, 1 Midland, 1 an unfluted

LSPA73 Two nice light gray chert Paleo Recovered from Paleo 95.00

Folsom bases. Both are double

sites in and around
fluted and display fine micro El Paso Co., Texas
edgework all the way around.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA74 Two mottled pink chert Paleo partials. Recovered from Paleo 75.00

The smaller of the two is a Midland

sites in and around
body section, while the larger piece is El Paso Co., Texas
the tip of a double fluted Folsom dart
point. An interesting couple.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA75 A great cross-section of 3 blue-gray  Recovered from Paleo 150.00

and tan chert Paleo Folsom bases, all

sites in and around
displaying superior craftsmanship in El Paso Co., Texas
double fluting and micro-edgework.
A nice study lot of a most rare point
type for sure.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA76 A nice little group of 3 Paleo partials, Recovered from Paleo 125.00

including 2 blue-gray chert double

sites in and around
fluted Folsom body sections having El Paso Co., Texas
micro edgework and one jet black
chert Midland base having thorough
flaking patterns.

LSPA51 A HEAVILY patinated, quite thin and El Paso County, TX 395.00

somewhat small for type, off-white chert

Clovis dart point. It has no modern nicks to
show what the "true" hoststone color is, but
I'll just bet that the hoststone is quite different
from the surface which shows now, after so
many thousands of years of "aging" by the
elements. This one shows great craftsmanship
and many ancient re-sharpenings. Stermer COA

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA78 A group of 3 blue-gray and mottled gray chert Recovered from Paleo 175.00

Paleo partials. The top piece in the photo is

sites in and around
the tip of an ultra-thin single fluted Folsom, the El Paso Co., Texas
piece in the lower left corner I can't sufficiently
"type", although it does vaguely resemble a
Midland, and the item in the lower right corner
is a crudely formed Midland, minus the tip.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA79 A group of 3 Paleo partials in different colored Recovered from Paleo 150.00

cherts. The white piece is a HEAVILY patinated

sites in and around
chert double fluted Folsom body section showing El Paso Co., Texas
some micro edgework, the pink piece in the lower
left is a single fluted Folsom tip and the piece in the
lower right corner is a very thin double fluted with
micro edgework Folsom body section from just
directly above the Folsom's base.
It's actually much prettier in person.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA80 A group of 3 Paleo Folsom partials in   Recovered from Paleo 125.00

various colored cherts. Each of these are

sites in and around
fluted, but they all lack the very fine micro El Paso Co., Texas
edgework we expect Folsoms to have.
Not a bad group for the money, however

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA81 A nice group of 2 Midland bases, the middle one in Recovered from Paleo 150.00

the photo is paper thin and has micro-micro

sites in and around
edgework all the way around. The bottom piece is  El Paso Co., Texas
no slouch either and shows a fairly thin cross section
with superior flaking patterns. The smallest piece at
the top is a jet black chert Folsom base having
double flutes and super fine micro edgework all the
way around coupled with multiple detailed basal
thinning flake scars. An interesting group for sure.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA82 An assorted group of mottled Recovered from Paleo 125.00

purple/pink and burgundy chert Paleo

sites in and around
partials, including a single fluted Folsom El Paso Co., Texas
body section (top piece in photo) with
some micro-edgework, A single fluted
Folsom tip section (middle piece in
photo) and an interesting and colorful
Midland base. Not a half-bad study lot.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA83 Two nice and very thin Paleo Midland Recovered from Paleo 125.00

bases showing superior craftsmanship,

sites in and around
one in a brown chert, the other in a El Paso Co., Texas
nice grayish chalcedony with some
micro edgework.

Item: Type: Provenance: Price
LSPA84 A nice group of 3 Paleo Folsom partials  Recovered from Paleo 150.00

and 1 Midland base (upper left corner in

sites in and around

tip. The other two Folsom bases show
double fluting and micro edgework.
